Are you wearing 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time?
Perhaps it's time for a little style therapy!!
Everyone loves to dress up for a special occasion but most of us just don’t need to maintain that level of glamour everyday. Mostly we just want a wardrobe that is full of pieces that we love, pieces that work together and make dressing for everyday life fun and easy. A great wardrobe works with your life and makes moving from work wear, to evening wear to weekend wear effortless and fun.
A wardrobe that is full of stuff that you don’t wear, don’t fit into or don’t even like makes creating a new outfit almost impossible. When you can’t see anything clearly you will inevitably end up reaching for the things you wore last. This is how many of us end up wearing 20% of our wardrobes 80% of the time.
What exactly is a Wardrobe Edit?
Wardrobe Stock Take
The first step in a Wardrobe Edit involves going through your wardrobe. A scary thought? Maybe. But you'll feel great afterwards! We'll then look at each item of clothing and decide whether it;
- Fits you
- Suits your body shape
- Matches your colour palette
- Suits your lifestyle
- And most importantly....do you like it?
Then we'll sort everything into piles; a pile to keep, a pile to discard and a pile to consider. Once we have done this you will be amazed at how easy it is to uncover outfits you never dreamed existed! Imagine looking fabulous just by wearing anything in your wardrobe.
Key Items / Create Outfits
The second step of the Wardrobe Edit involves creating outfits and identifying key items in your wardrobe. You'll be amazed at just how many fabulous outfits are uncovered once we clear out all the bits you never wore! We'll then take photos of the outfits you like and label all the pieces so you'll know how to put them together yourself. How much easier would a photo reference of all your outfits make your life?
Identify what's missing
The final step of the Wardrobe Edit involves creating a shopping list of the missing key items. These are the pieces you will probably need to buy to maximise your wardrobe and match it to your lifestyle.
